Several years ago I had a idea to go into the Internet Marketing Business of course I had no idea where to get started or who to talk with.
My first step was to start surfing the internet looking for sites that provided information on starting an internet marketing business. The number of sites out there are to many to even start counting. So what was the plan….search out 10 of the most highly recommended sites/companies with good credentials and sites that didn’t charge for the site since I didn’t have alot of cash having retired from a company that I had worked for over 34 years…that’s another story which we’ll talk about later…much later.
After many hours of searching I did find 1(one) company that came highly recommended and would give me the site for free….that’s right free the only cost involved was the hosting fee.
After months of studying how to set up the site and getting help from my computer savvy friend(Tonia) I was finally ready to make money…wrong. I forgot I needed something to offer the public to get them to my site. I became an affiliate with over 40 well known companies that offer services and products to the general public and I also started writing and publishing articles and post of interest.While you are here you might want to take a look around you might find something that interest you.
Now that the site was up and running and I had the products and services available I was ready to make money…wrong again. I forgot the most important element people. Where in the world was I going to find people to visit my site and purchase the products and services that I offered and advertised. Hey the brain started working….it does work every now and then. The best people to get involved were those that had solicited me, so I went to my e-mail list and started sending information to my friends, neighbors and relatives. I even produced flyers which were distributed at churches, businesses, relatives/friends worksites, shopping malls,movie theaters and even at the civic center. Some of the handouts were even distributed at conventions, seminars and workshops. I realized this new found business required work and and a great deal of effort. If one works at something he or she wishes it can be successful.
Two year have pasted and my internet marketing business is doing better.My computer savvy friend Tonia stays close and I owe her many thanks. I must admit that I’m still learning and making improvements regularly to the site.
